Part I, Archaeological Methods, is the first in the series and is a prerequisite for the other three classes.
Part II introduces students to the prehistory of South Carolina.
Part III introduces students to the Contact Period when the Spanish and French first came into contact with Native Americans.
Part IV introduces students to the historic time period when English, Africans and other Europeans came to South Carolina.
Parts II, III, and IV do not have to be taken in order but all students will have to take Part I (Archaeological Methods) first since methods will not be taught in the other classes.
